The school has a real problem with bullies and does not seem to do much about it. We have 4 children and two of them have experienced multiple issues. The school does not seem to monitor the hallways, playgrounds, bathrooms, or lunchrooms very well. One child wandered off during recess to the very edge of the playground area and had to be "found". While they were not in any danger it is disturbing as a parent how many things seem to go unnoticed. I have elected to move our children to another school after months of issues. The campus itself is beautiful and has some great facilities. If they can turn around the supervision issue and have the educators/aids more involved with the children this could be a top school.

School has some great teachers and obviously some are not. My son is in fourth grade and the math/science teacher is average but the English/Social studies teacher is great! So far the best teacher my son been with was Mrs Young on 2nd grade, she is marvelous, caring and very patient with young kiddo. School has great PTA and activities. Music teachers are great and we love the Spring Carnival and Movie night.

My boys attended from kinder to second and my daughter attended here for fifth grade- we are extremely happy with the school. Teachers are fabulous and my kids were very very happy there. We moved out of state but my boys still remember the teachers and staff fondly!

Great PTA and parental involvement along with terrific teachers and a Wonderful Principal who is loving, caring, kind, but also listens to parents, uses her firm authority when necessary, accepts responsibility for her staff and teachers, and doesn't 'make excuses' or 'pass the buck' if something is wrong. She accepts and tries to work with parental suggestions and encourages open communication and training between all parties (teachers, staff, students, parents, admin). Most of the teachers are Incredible and really give of themselves and truly love the kids and communicate with the parents. They have worked hard to Earn Exemplary rating and deserve it, especially for a large school (~1000+/-)

My daughter attended school at Blackland Prarie for 5 years and loved every single year. It is very crowded though and teachers make the best of it. We loved it there and felt safe, sad to see the new school boundries because my younger daughter will not be attending same school so we have chosen to go private school for both.

The school is good, the administration is highly committed to delivering a good education in a safe environment. Although a 'young' school, it is already over capacity, and the 5th grade teachers have a habit of assigning too much 'busy work' homework projects.

This school is well organized. There is a strong focus on reading and learning throughout. Our teacher is excellent. There are many opportunities for learning in areas of music and art with very good instructors. Parent involvement is excellent.

This is a very good school. The teachers are caring and very knowledgeable. Also, there are several fun activities for families to participate in through out the year. The growth issue is a definite concern. All portables are full and the parking - pick up/drop off is confusing.

I have watched this school grow from inception. The teacher's and staff are very committed. Selection of teaching staff seems very well thought out. All the teachers I have been involved with will spend whatever time it takes to make a difference in the child's education. Discipline at first seemed to be lacking for chronic offenders of the school rules and regulations. This problem seems to have eased. Parent involvement is high, but limited to a select number of parents (God Bless this PTA). About the only problem I see with this school is a non-educaational one... parking confusion and limited drop off space. Coming problems could include overcrowding and the use of many portable buildings.
